So Mel is the sister of  Natasha one of my all-time favourite weddings & brides…It seems like gorgeous/fun weddings just run in the family. Mel just looked simply stunning, their bridal party were alot of fun. I also loved Mels dress & her bridesmaids dresses…oh & the bridesmaids shoes…yes just bought me a pair today thanks guys!!

Mel & Matts’ wedding was all at “The Pavillion” & like the last wedding I did there they had it up the top where the light is magic & my opinion the couples look better as they arent in direct blinding sun & the guys aren’t cooking in their suits.

How cute is the blue little wall I found. Even though I shoot at “The Pavillion” a few times each month (because it is the most popular place in town) I like to find something different for each couple.

As his wedding photographer no I didnt know him that well. Yes I knew he was a keen rugby Union fan & popular in the horse community. But I knew him & Megan well enough to know they were an amazing couple & that he was full of life & a well liked guy.I instantly clicked with him & Megan.

I said in their wedding blog how amazing this couple were. Yes one of my Favourite couples of 2009. Why you ask? When I do over 30+ wedding a year yes some of them blend in but then others stand-out & I get goosebumps & just adore taking their photos.What made a couple like Lachie & Megans my favourite or stand out?  No it has nothing to do with what shoes Megan wore or her hair or make-up or even that Megan was bought in on a beautiful horse & carriage, it was simply them as a couple. Yes they were special, we clicked. It was the goosebumps I felt as I shot Megan coming down the isle as Lachie looked at her. That look of just WOW thats my girl!! The jokes Lachie & his brother & best man made all day.Yes their bridal party was a scream. Lachie taring around the corner with his Parramatta flag flying in the wind  with his chest so full of pride hoping for a photo with his flag & yep as you see below its a cracker!! Yes its just them as a couple- you could feel love & the fun in the room created by this couple. & Lachie knew how to party, yep he was the life of the party.

Lachie was an accountant & of course watched his penny’s but one thing he told me from the day that made me feel special Lachie said the best money we spent on our wedding was Karissa. I just had a blast & this makes me feel honoured.

 I guess in times like this when someone dies so young we should all look at our own mortality, the friendships we have & how much we appreciate life & each other. If I went so tragically like Lachie would I be known &  loved like he was. Do my friends & family know I love them?

So tonight when we all go to bed I know Im going to tell my hubby I love him, kisshim,as some people out their dont have that luxury.

Also how important photos are. They had so many fabulous photos of Lachie & his life today. & their wedding photos are just beautiful. Photos are so important as none of us know what tomorrow holds. So when was the last time you had a family portrait taken & yes this is so aimed at me & not a business plug.

On their last page of their album I left a poem which I love but this has taken on a whole new meaning now:

Megan my prayers & thoughts are with you at this horrible time. Im so sorry for your great loss. You were married to such a great, fun Man.

Elley & Chris got married at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses & had there reception at Best Western Sanctuary Inn. & I must say this place was fabulous. I also must say this would have to be the best meal I have ever had at a wedding… & yes I have had alot. I also noticed there events coordinator was so friendly & just perfect…So yep 10starts for them.

Elly & Chris also had a really fun bridal party whom I laughed at all day & made the slideshow go off.

Also a huge thankyou to Jarod my assistant for the day. He was awesome & yes he took a shot or two below. Its so nice having second shooters & see what angles they bring…..just love it!!! & dont mind being bossed around by me.(hopefully not anyway)

Chris you rocked it big-time on your wedding day & just adore the way you treat Elley.These guys are truly in love & cant wait to spend their life together so all the best guys for the future.

What makes this shoot so special is that I shot Adam & Kristy’s wedding, there pregnancy shoot a few weeks ago & now I get to document this special part of their journey together of their first-born..awwww. & whats best out of all this- you can tell it only makes their love stronger & yes they are so in love as a couple.
